- After submission, papers or extended abstracts were subject to an initial screening to determine whether it fit the scope of the thematic sessions. If it was within scope, a double-blind review process commenced until January.
- By the end of January, the authors were notified whether the PLATE2025 chairs, based on the reviews received, chose to either reject, accept, or conditionally accept the paper for a final submission. See also our PLATE2025 Timeline for an overview of the process.
- The final submission deadline was 26th of March, 2025. The final paper upload sometimes received final, minor comments from the committee to ensure that the authors have responded reasonably to the comments received from the reviewers.
- Both regular papers and extended abstracts was peer reviewed and is considered two separate submission types. Accepted regular papers and accepted extended abstracts both got a DOI in the proceedings.
Papers are limited to 2500 – 3000 words not including title, abstract, and references. Extended Abstracts should have up to 1000 words not including title, and references. Please avoid any affiliations as the initial submissions must be anonymous. After a double-blind peer-review process, authors of accepted contributions may be asked to further develop and submit a final camera ready version.
The papers need to follow the provided word template available for download here:
We prioritised contributions from different authors preferring no more than two extended abstracts / regular paper submissions by the same authors.
Regular papers and extended abstract all got a DOI and was published open access (CC-BY-4.0) in a conference proceeding by AAU Open publishing.
