The registration is now open! We look forward to welcoming you in Aalborg for the 6th PLATE conference. Early Bird ends by March 15 April 7, 2025, and Gala dinner registration can only happen through the registration link below — no on-site registration during the conference.

The price for conference attendance will be is the same as the last PLATE event and shown below:

The attendance fee covers expenses for facilities, lunch and coffee, keynotes, and open access publication fees etc. During the registration, we ask for payment in DKK which means that the pricing listed here is indicative, and may vary depending on the bank or method of payment.
Please contact PLATE@create.aau.dk if you need a letter of invitation for visa reasons to attend the conference or any other enquiries you may have.
Doctorial Colloquium 1st of July
A day before the official conference program starts, we are planning a doctorial colloquium for doctoral students. The Doctoral Colloquium is arranged by Tim Cooper, Conny Bakker, and Linda Nhu Laursen. This is an excellent opportunity to get feedback on your doctoral studies — whether you are in your first, second or third year of your PhD program. Besides valuable feedback on your scientific work, it will also be an excellent opportunity to network with your peers. It is highly encouraged to find a place in Aalborg to continue the debates or to unwind together after the official program for the day ends. You register via the registration portal linked at the top of the page. Participation is free of additional charge but requires registration.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
If the conference organizers are forced to cancel the conference due to matters related to COVID-19 (or other national/international epidemic/pandemic or other cases of force majeure), no claim can be made for compensation for the expenses registered participants or others may have in this connection towards PLATE or Aalborg University.
Already paid registration fees can be reimbursed according to below principles:
- Notification of cancellation must be in writing by email and received by the conference secretary (tsan@create.aau.dk) on or before 02 June 2025.
- Cancellations received on or before 02 June 2025 will be refunded 50% of the fees, but deducted an administration fee of DKK 250,-.
- Cancellations received after 02 June 2025 will be non-refundable.
- Non-arrivals will be non-refundable for any reason.
- Substitute participants will be accepted at any time – a name will be required prior arrival from the already registered person.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)
Aalborg University (AAU) is responsible for data in connection with the PLATE 2025 Conference (in the below called ‘the event’). We ask for your consent to the processing of your personal data.
By registering to the conference, you hereby give your consent to, that AAU, Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology may collect and process your name, email and billing address.
For your information, your name/title/organisation may be used in print and in digital media formats (program, social media channels, website and later proceedings).
Pictures/video may be taken/recorded at the event for use in print and in digital media formats (social media channels, website and later proceedings).
On the registration form you can give your consent / not give your consent to the use of your name/title/organisation and pictures and/or video recordings on which you appear (this only apply when you, in specific, occupy a central role in the picture / video).
Your information is collected on the basis of consent, in accordance with Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation. 1, letter a. Your information will not be transferred outside the EU & EEA.
The personal information that you provide on the registration form is registered with AAU, Department of Architecture, Design and Media Technology in order to ensure professional execution of the event.
Your personal information is used when we contact you in relation to the event and during the event.
Your personal information will not be disclosed to third parties.
At any time, you may withdraw your consent for the use of your personal information and specific pictures/videos from the event by contacting PLATE2025@create.aau.dk.
Personal information collected through the registration form or pictures/videos taken/recorded at the event, will be retained for as long as is necessary for the purpose of obtaining your consent and in accordance with applicable law.
Have we already with your consent publicized your personal information or pictures/videos with your participation, you do not have the right to have them deleted retroactively.
We expect to delete, anonymize or archive your personal information / pictures / videos by 01.01.2027.
When we process your personal data, you have several rights under the Data Protection Regulation. This means, among other things, that you have the right to deletion and data portability.
In certain cases, you have the right to access, rectify, limit and object to our processing of the personal data covered.
